Buoy Boat Tours started because we LOVE being on the boat with friends & family, exploring our Virginia Beach waterways, and eating and drinking at our favorite local hotspots. Any day on the water is a great day! So, why not extend the fun with private boat cruises, not your standard fishing charter, but a fun day with friends on the boat!!

We created a bunch of different tour themes, all based on our favorite things and places to go on the water.

Chat with Captain BB before your tour to determine the best course for you and your guests. Cruise around Lynnhaven & Bay, stop at the sandbar, see dolphins, check out some cool waterfront homes, and eat at some of the best restaurants in the area! We will help you plan a perfect day!

Sunsets & Champagne

Exactly what it sounds like! Taking the boat out to watch the sunset is our favorite thing! It’s a perfect date night, or bring your friends or family to enjoy our beautiful bay sunsets! Don't forget to bring champagne and snacks!

Sandbar Fun!!

Enjoy a day on the water- stop by the sandbar or the narrows, play beach games, run around, and swim or float by the boat! This is perfect family fun in the sun!

Crab Crawl Cruise

We will drop you off at our favorite restaurants for the best she crab soup, crab dip, and crabcake sandwiches. We can take you to check on our crab pots and learn a bit about crabbing. Comes with a bag of crab chips!

Full-Day Eastern Shore Boat Adventure

Set off on a full-day boat tour to Virginia’s beautiful Eastern Shore! Cruise past the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel and watch for dolphins along the way. We'll stop at Jack’s Spot, where you can swim or grab a quick snack, then head to the historic Cement Ships at Kiptopeke. Next, we’ll pull into the charming town of Cape Charles. Stroll the shops, grab an ice cream, or enjoy lunch at one of the many great local restaurants.

House Hunting Boat Tour

We will boat past some of our area's gorgeous homes- including Crystal Lake, Broad Bay, Alanton, Thomas Bishop, and Adam Keeling. We looked for our dream house on the water for over 8 years, and know the ins & outs of the area. If you are looking for a waterfront property, this is a great way to go house hunting!

Engagement Cruise - The Perfect Way to Propose

A one-of-a-kind, private & gorgeous sunset engagement cruise. Includes a consultation with the captain on your plans so we can ensure it's perfect. Drop off a bottle of champagne 🍾 before you depart.

We will supply champagne glasses & will put the champagne on ice, so it's ready to be popped! Charcuterie & chocolate-covered strawberries plates/napkins. And, of course, we will snap many photos of your special moment!

Max of 6 guests
All ages welcome (we will ask for ages of children to ensure we have the proper lifejackets on board)
All tours are 2 hours - extra hours can be added
Licensed Captain & first mate (depending on tour type)
Pick-up/Drop-off will be from The Back Deck
The Back Deck is connected to the Shell Fish Company, where you can pick-up ice, beer, wine and more
Captain BB will call you prior to your tour to go over the details

Bluetooth your tunes on a newly updated sound system or choose from any of our already-created stations
Bring your snacks, cooler & beverages
We can supply a cooler with ice (if pre-arranged)
Food & beverage purchases from restaurants/shops are not included in tour prices
We recommend grabbing food and drinks from The Back Deck before hopping aboard

Our Little Blue Boat

Our Boat's name is Moxie! Meticulously clean 27 ft Bow Rider, with lounge seating. Stretch out up front, relax on captain chairs in the main cabin, or enjoy plush bench seating at the stern. The boat has a large hard top for shade and is powered by two freshly serviced (super quiet) Yamaha 200 four-stroke motors.
